How to Fix a Failing Windows 8 Boot

Steps to fix:

1. Turn your Windows 8 PC after the BIOS finishes loading press F8
     keyboard to enter the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE).

2. You will be taken to a screen Choose an option, then select Troubleshoot
     - Advanced options and click Command Prompt.

3. A moment later appeared command prompt window and type the command:
     cd% windir% \ system32 \ config - press Enter.

4. Change the name system.001 and software.001, I typed:
     ren system system.001
     ren software software.001
     each type in the command line followed by pressing Enter.

5. Close the command prompt window and reboot your PC.

6. Press F8 again to get into the screen Automatic Repair, and
     select Advanced Options - Troubleshoot, and you select Reset your PC.

Note:
If you want to use your PC Refresh option then simply rename the System hive alone. But if it turns Software hive also damaged then you can not use your PC Refresh option. So you have to change (rename) Software hive too.
When you rename the Software hive Refresh your PC can not be used, but you can use the Reset yor PC.
